By using this Website you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions, which must be read every time the Website is visited, since both the Website and these conditions are subject to changes.
1. Information published in the Website
Any and all information provided in the Website shall not be regarded as either medical or clinical advice. The purpose of the Website is to display basic data about the different medical procedures and provide general information about the treatments. Particular cases shall be evaluated by our physicians.

2. Intellectual Property Rights
Any and all informative texts concerning treatments and institutional information are Intellectual Property of AUREA, or third parties; and shall not be reproduced, copied, pasted, linked, transmitted, distributed or handled in any manner and for any purpose whatsoever, without previous written authorization given by AUREA, keeping the copyright intact at all times, as well as any other notice of Intellectual Property Rights.
Any use or changes made in the information with a purpose different from those set forth in these Terms and Conditions shall be regarded as a violation of International Copyright Laws protecting Intellectual Property Rights.
3. Personal Data
The user shall be able to access the information in the Website without providing any personal data. However, should the user make any consultation via e-mail, in which case a form must be completed, the personal information provided therein shall be included in a file, to be use only by AUREA, and which purpose is to furnish the information requested, benefiting from the advantages associated to filling in said form and sending the user business offers adjusted to specially fit his/her profile, whether by mail or electronic channels (e-mail).
All personal data filled in by the users in the Website through the form/s shall not be shared or redistributed to third parties.
It is worth mentioning that the information regarding different pages visited in the Website, time of navigation and downloads may also be anonymously obtained only for statistical purposes, in order to improve the rendering of services and carry out basic administration tasks.
4. Linked Sites
The Website may include links allowing the User to access other websites and Internet portals (hereinafter referred to as Linked Sites). In that event, Aurea shall act as a mediation service provider and it shall only be responsible for the contents and services rendered in the Linked Sites to the extent that it has actual knowledge of the unlawful nature of the site and provided the link has not been duly deactivated.
AUREA shall be hold harmless for the damages derived from the unlawfulness, quality, unavailability, error and uselessness of the Linked Sites, or any other damage that were not directly attributed to AUREA.
In that event, Aurea shall act as a mediation service provider and it shall only be responsible for the contents and services rendered in the Linked Sites to the extent that it has actual knowledge of the unlawful nature of the site and provided the link has not been duly deactivated.
5. Financing
AUREA.com is only financed by resources of AUREA Argentina. We do not advertise third party organizations. The links or just the mentioning of trademarks is only to inform about certain products and supplies that we use in order to guarantee their quality.
6. Legislation
The Law of the Republic of Argentina contemplates and regulates all relations established with users through our website.
7. Minors
Any person under 18 years old needs the express consent of their parents or guardian before submitting their personal data to AUREA via the Website. AUREA shall assume that if the minor accesses the Website is under given authorization of their parents, guardian or legal representative.
8. Acceptance of Terms and Conditions of Use of the Website
The User undertakes to use the Portal and services as provided by law and these Terms and Conditions, as well as generally accepted moral and good customs and public order, being liable against AUREA or third parties for damages that may be caused as a consequence of the non-fulfillment of said obligation.
Terms and Conditions of the Service
1. Application for the Treatment/Procedure
Patients` applications sent via our web site or requested by phone call are received by AUREAS` Patient Information Center. Our advisors are trained to answer general questions about the procedures and terms of the service. If the patient has questions related to medical issues, the advisor will pass the questions on to the professional and the answers back to the patient.
2. Quotations
The amount fixed by AUREA on the first stage is an estimate. The decisive amount will be confirmed by the advisors. It is important to insist that the original estimate may be slightly modified after the personal evaluation carried out by the professional, once the patient has arrived in Buenos Aires.
All exchange with the Patient Information Center is free of charge and it does not represent any kind of agreement between AUREA and the patient.
3. Items Included in the Quotation
The quotation for a standard medical trip includes the fees for the medical team, pre surgical studies, hospitalization, assistance service, transportation, and accommodation is optional. The assistance service and transportation are exclusively for health related purposes.
On the other hand, the above mentioned services may vary according to the treatment package, which is customized for each patient.
Each package is designed to meet the requirements of each patient.
The basic quotation does not include:
a) Airline tickets.
b) Medications, whether related to the treatment or not.
c) Any other item not specified in it.
4. Trip Reservations, Payment Conditions and Validity Term of Quotation
Once the characteristics of the medical service have been agreed upon, the patient shall make a down payment of 30% of the total price for reservation.
The patient may choose or postpone the arrival date pursuant to the price validity term conditions specified herein below.
The price agreed for a package purchased shall be valid for a term of 6 months as from the date of receipt of the reservation deposit. Once the aforementioned term expires, the package price will be modified according to the rates in effect at the moment of the patient`s trip.
The validity term of a package purchased may be extended for 6 additional months if the patient pays 100% of the package purchased within the original validity term of 6 months. Once this term expires, the package price will be modified according to the rates in effect at the moment of the patient`s trip.
The price balance of the package purchased shall be paid 30 days prior to the arrival date.
If a patient wants to travel within a term which is shorter than 30 days as from the date the package is purchased, they shall pay 100% of the price for reservation. Notwithstanding that, the services purchased shall be subject to AUREA` service availability. In such cases, it may be necessary to incur in additional expenses for extraordinary services and/or to add stay days, which shall be at the patient`s expense. Any such circumstance shall be informed to the patient as promptly as possible.
AUREA shall make all reasonable organization efforts to arrange dates in such a way that they suit its patients` best convenience.
Patients may choose the arrival date at their convenience if: (a) the package price exceeds USD 7,000 and, (b) they pay 100% of the package price for reservation. Otherwise, it shall be subject to availability.
If after confirming the date, a patient wants to bring the trip forward, acceptance shall be subject to service availability. If desired, patients may request that their case receive special treatment, subject to an additional cost. The amount of said additional cost shall depend on the effort AUREA will have to make to obtain any additional resources necessary to fulfill the patient`s request. In any case, it shall always be subject to service availability.
If a patient closed a deal without confirming a date, their arrival shall be subject to service availability.
Overcome the term of six months, in case the patient has not paid the balance, it will lose the advance payment without right to demand it.
5. Before the Trip
The Patient Care Center advisors will be in charge of planning the medical trip. The advisors will ask the patient for his/her medical record and related information in order to evaluate whether the patient is fit for undergoing the treatment required.
Any and all medical information delivered by the interested patient shall be evaluated by AUREA` Medical Department, which must validate such application in order to receive the requested treatment. In addition, AUREA` Medical Department reserves the right to ask for additional medical information from both the patient and his/her personal physicians abroad.
The interested patient has the right to safeguard his/her identity and medical information, upon prior notice. In the event that the patient wishes to keep secret all medical information shared with AUREAS` Medical Department, he/she must expressly state so in written, for AUREA to instruct all necessary mechanisms for protecting said information.
6. Planning the Medical Package
The detailed plan of the medical trip may be modified. Some procedures cannot be carried out together.
All requested procedures may be subject to changes according to the diagnosis and at the discretion of the physician, also taking into consideration the recommendations of the personal physician of the patient living abroad.
7. Preexisting Diseases
Patients with preexisting diseases will have to make an extra deposit (apart from the package) that will be used for the specific analysis required by his/her condition or for hiring specialized medical staff to assist the patient during the procedure.
The deposit will be reimbursed to the patient if no extra services related to his/her preexisting condition are needed.
8. Unforeseen Complications
If the compulsory medical studies show that the patient suffers from a preexisting condition or disease that may interfere with the procedure but of which the patient has no previous knowledge:
a) The patient will be informed about his/her medical condition and about the possible consequences the procedure will have on his/her health.
b) The patient will have to pay a deposit (apart from the package) that will be used for specific analysis or for hiring specialized medical staff.
c) The deposit will be reimbursed to the patient if no extra services related to his/her preexisting condition are needed.
AUREA, and all professionals involved, will not perform any procedure that might have negative effects on the patient`s health without taking all the necessary precautions.
9. Stays Policy according to week day of arrival
Standard stays quoted by default in all quotations will be possible to fulfill provided that the patient arrives on such days of the week that all tests and consultations prior to the surgery and the surgery itself may be carried out on consecutive working days. Accordingly, weekend days are used for the purpose of post-surgery recovery. Therefore:
* If the arrival day is MONDAY, TUESDAY, OR WEDNESDAY, the stay shall be the standard one quoted by default.
* If the arrival day is THURSDAY arriving at EZE Airport until 9:00 AM, the stay shall be extended by +2 days.
* If the arrival day is THURSDAY arriving at EZE Airport later than 9:00 AM or on FRIDAY, the stay shall be extended by +3 days.
* If the arrival day is SATURDAY, the stay shall be extended by +2 days.
* If the arrival day is SUNDAY, the stay shall be extended by +1 day.
10. Arrival in Buenos Aires
The patient will arrive at the Ezeiza International Airport (EZE). An assistant will receive the patient and take him/her to the hotel where he/she will stay. The patient will be given a file in which he/she will find the trip`s schedule, as well as detailed documentation about the procedures that he/she will have to sign before the treatment.
The assistants we provide are not exclusive, they are assigned according to availability, that is, one assistant will receive you at the airport whereas another will go with you to the medical consultation.
It is possible for the patient to ask for an exclusive assistant, but this service has an additional cost.
11. First Consultation
After the first consultation with the physician, the date and time for the treatment will be confirmed. If on the first consultation the need for additional procedures arises, our Patient Care Center advisors will prepare a new quotation.
Before the surgery, the patient will have to sign a document stating that he/she knows the risks implied and the possible complications that may arise.
12. Follow-up
After the procedure, the physician will set appointments for the follow-up care and will inform the patient about the special precautions he/she will have to take when he/she returns home.
13. Departure
The patient will be taken to the airport by an assistant on the day of his/her departure.
14. After the Trip
The Patient Care Center advisors will get in touch with the patient to check on his health and well-being.
15. Cancellation of the Trip Before Traveling
The down-payment of 30% of total amount of package will not be reimbursed in case the patient decides to cancel his trip.
16. Payment Transfer to a Third Party
A patient, who has cancelled the trip after having made the payment, may transfer the money to a third party. In order to do this, the patient must state the recipient`s personal information and the treatments this person wishes to undergo.
The new patient will be given a new quotation. The deposit made by the original patient will be deducted from the total cost.
17. AUREA`s Responsibility
The medical team and its staff assume full responsibility. The patient will not hold AUREA responsible.
If complications arise that will require additional interventions or extended hospitalization, the cost will be established by AUREA and paid by the patient.
Neither AUREA, nor the physician chosen by the patient and the medical team, shall be responsible for any medical situation that may occur during the patient`s stay, in which they have failed to take part or make any decision whatsoever. For instance, self-medication, performance of piercings and the like.
It is understood that, in plastic surgeries, there exists the possibility of discrepancies between the surgeon and the patient as regards the aesthetic results. It is understood that the physician will do his best to obtain the results that will best satisfy the patient`s expectations.
