Breast Lift
"Breast Lift, or mastopexy, can raises sagging breasts due to age and lactation."
The surgery is performed through an incision around the areola, or if it’s indicated by the surgeon, performing an incision from the areola to the inframammary furrow, vertical or 'T' reversed shape. The excess skin is removed and the breast is shaped within the proper way. In the same surgical procedure, and if necessary, the surgeon reduces the size of the areola and correct asymmetries between both breasts.
For best results, we recommend to combine Breast Lift with Breast Augmentation, in which the surgeon places a small breast implant, not necessarily to increase the volume, but to give consistency and firmness to the breasts.
The result of surgery is firmer and youthful looking breasts.
The surgery is performed under local anesthesia plus sedation, and can last 2 hours or so. The procedure is outpatient; after the
surgery is done, the patient remains for a few hours in the clinic and then is discharged. The post-surgical recovery is
quick and hassle free.
The following week the patient can resume her normal working life, although without engaging in activities requiring physical
exertion during the first days after surgery. It must be avoided movements that contract the pectoral muscle for three weeks,
and sports and physical exercises for about a month.
