Labiaplasty
"Labiaplasty is the procedure that beautifies hypertrophic or hanging labia minora, without altering their functions or sexual pleasure"
The surgeon removes labia excess through a variety of incisions, reducing the size of the labia minora. In the same procedure, if necessary, any asymmetry or irregularity can be corrected.
As a complement to this surgery, several fillers are injected into the labia; these fillers can be permanent gel, and the patient's own fat, among others.
The final result is well-rounded labia minora, revitalized, and youthful-looking.
For total rejuvenation of the vagina, is recommended to have this surgery done along with vaginoplasty, which returns the tone to vaginal muscles by tightening the muscles of the vaginal wall, place sutures in the introitus, and remove excess of vaginal tissue.
The surgery is performed under epidural anesthesia or local anesthesia plus sedation, and can last 2 hours or so. The procedure is outpatient; after the surgery is done, the patient remains for a few hours in the clinic and then is discharged. The post-surgical recovery is quick and hassle free.
The patient can resume the normal working life in 24 hours, although without engaging in activities requiring physical exertion during the first days after surgery. Also, it is important to abstain from sexual intercourse for three weeks. After this period the patient can resume the sexual activity.
