Teatro Colón

"On 24 May, in commemoration of the Argentine Bicentennial, Teatro Colón, the main opera house in Latin American, reopened. The restoration work included the enhancement of interior and exterior, and technological upgrading.
The reopening began with the 3D projection on the rear facade of the theater, of a historical-musical documentary that displayed the most important moments in the history of theater.
The gala continued with a presentation of Swan Lake, by the Teatro Colón Ballet Company, and ended with one of the acts of La Bohème."

Buenos Aires nightlife offers a wide variety of choices for fun, leisure and culture: over Corrientes Av. are located most theaters, like Teatro Presidente Alvear, Paseo La Plaza, Teatro General San Martín, Centro Cultural de la Cooperación, Teatro Blanca Podesta and Teatro Gran Rex, among others; if the choice is going to the movies, in the city there are major movie theaters, such as Cinemark and Hoyts, and independent theaters.
For tango and milonga lovers, every day they have the chance to attend shows and concerts in many places of different features: El Viejo Almacén, La Esquina de Carlos Gardel, Madero Tango, and Señor Tango offers international shows.
