Eyelid

"Blepharoplasty, or eyelid surgery, is the procedure that removes fat deposits and excess of skin from the eyelids, and renews the look."

The surgery is performed through a horizontal line that extends along the eyelid crease formed when the eyes are opened, which allows hiding the scar. Afterwards, the fat and extra skin that causes the eyelids to look sag and old, are removed

In the same surgical act the surgeon corrects vision interference when the upper eyelids are hanging

Also, this surgery can be performed through an incision across the conjunctiva known as transconjunctival technique, which leaves no visible external scars.

For the lower eyelid surgery, incision is usually made on following the line of birth of the eyelashes, to remove excess of skin and fat that give appearance of fatigue.
For an outstanding achievement, it is recommended to combine Blepharoplasty with Brow Lift.
The surgery is performed under local anesthesia plus sedation, and can last 2 hours or so. The procedure is outpatient, after the surgery is done, the patient remains for a few hours in the clinic and then is discharged. The post-surgical recovery is quick and hassle free.

In the next few days the patient can resume the normal working life, although without engaging in activities requiring physical exertion during the first days after surgery.
